Embed videos in documentation

You can use videos in documentation texts.

You can find official STAEDEAN videos on our video portal: https://videos.staedean.com/manage/videos

Make sure:

  • You only reference published videos!
  • Only reference short videos. If possible, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes.

Go to the video portal: https://videos.staedean.com/manage/video/ 2. Click the desired video. 3. On the video details, click Embed, Copy embed code. 4. Paste the embed code to, for example, Notepad and edit it to resemble the example in the topic introduction. 5. Copy the edited embed code to the video reference URl (see next topic). Set up video references Set up video references You can use videos in documentation texts. To do so, first set up the video references. Procedure 1. Click Business process management. 2. Click Videos. 3. Click New. 4. In the Video field, type a value. 5. In the Video URI field, enter the video embed code. 6. Expand the Description section and enter a meaningful description. For example, you can copy the video description from the video portal. 7. Click the Summary tab to test the created video reference. Apply video references Apply video references You can apply a video reference in any text in your RapidValue solutions, like Description or Notes. Procedure 1. Open the desired documentation solution in RapidValue. 2. Go to the desired text. 3. Enter this 'marker' at the desired position (preferably a new line) in your text: @videoref:[Video reference name]. For example: @videoref:RapidValue-Intro 4. To test the video reference, click the Preview tab or Summary tab. End End
